As a photographer I know how straightforward and enjoyable your photography session will be! But as a mum of three I completely empathise with the complications and concerns that come with the decision - you might worry about the logistics of making it to your session in time, getting there with your tiny baby, will they cry? Or throw up? Or cry and then throw up and then have a massive poop incident all over everybody?!!
You won’t feel your best in those early days so you might worry about the physical toll or about not looking your best in your pictures.
You might worry about the cost. You’ve probably heard stories of photographers luring you in with cheap session fees and then asking hundreds of dollars per image. Scary.
I’m here to reassure you that my main concern is you and your baby - making your session easy, enjoyable and stress free.

The vast majority of my newborn and older baby photo sessions are taken in your own home. I will bring absolutely everything needed for your pictures - from newborn posing beanbags and lighting equipment (just in case!) to gorgeous soft baby wraps and hand knitted angora wool newborn bloomers.
I will find the nicest light, the most flattering poses for your photographs and deliver you a selection of images in an online photo gallery. That way you can choose the pictures that you love the most at the price range you’re most comfortable with. All of my packages are available here so you know exactly the costs involved in your photography session and you can plan ahead.

lifestyle newborn photography
Lifestyle newborn shoots are a wonderful option! I aim to capture wonderful pictures of your newborn (or older) baby very much within their own environment. These photography sessions can be planned in your own home or in one of my beautiful outdoor locations - I have tons of options for beach shoots, bush settings or gardens. I will still document every tiny detail of your baby, the tiny toes, the fingers curled around your hand, the little whisps of hair, but in a completely natural way. This style of newborn photography showcases your family and your home as well as your baby.
And as with all of my other photography sessions, my focus will be to make you and your family feel comfortable and relaxed first, and take wonderful pictures second.
My pricing is completely transparent, I think that everybody has heard stories of photographers hooking clients in with low session fees and then charging hundreds of dollars for each image. My pricing is available here, so you can plan ahead for all involved costs. And, as with all of my photo sessions, you will receive an online gallery of edited images which you can choose your favourites from.
